New additions

Meet Ham (black and white female) and Sausage (red and white male)...

They aren't quite sure about us yet but we are working on them...found out they like the horse's apple treats (don't tell the horses!)...bribery with food always works...especially with pigs!

Finally!!

Well, we wondered and were finally proved right that Mocha was indeed pregnant! We came out Sunday morning to hearing some tiny little "baaas" coming from the goat pen! We thought, now wait a minute! Jack and Jameson don't sound THAT little anymore! And sure enough there were two little kids in with Mocha...one boy and one girl...

We call the boy Macchiato and the girl Latte.

Well, unfortunately little Latte was too weak and little and didn't make it...

Back in action!

Well, its been a while, so we have some updating to do...We seem to be somewhat of a Holiday farm...Unfortunately, we lost little Kobe on Valentine's night (or maybe the morning after). So Ginger was forlorn for a few days, but is OK. We don't know exactly what caused his death, but we don't think he suffered. We replaced him with a little black Mini Hereford/Dexter cross whom has a few names but mostly goes by "black baby" or "Dexter". He's very small and cute, and is a bit of an outcast but getting along with the others fine.

Keeping up with the "holiday" theme...We got an Easter surprise...Sedonia had kids! We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw she had "bagged up" on Saturday night, and were even MORE in awe when we came out Sunday morning to little tiny "baaa's", mimicking daddy Bucky!! We whisked them into the barn stall we had built in the Big Red Barn, and got them nursing. They were both little boys, so Scott (who tends to be the namer) named them Jack (Daniels) and Jameson...yes...like the whiskeys...Jack was a little more shaky than Jameson at first,  his back legs seemed to take a while to work right, but now they are both strong and jumping, playing, eating, and sleeping as little "kids" do. Fun!

Our own Easter "kid" hunt!

Here they were in their new stall in the barn...See little Jack is still getting his "sea legs" on the left.

Here is little Jack peeking out to say "Hi!" we have a feeling he is going to be just like his mama...a little too curious for his own good...

Little Jameson, strong and spunky (and a little noisy) from the beginning, we think he may just be like his papa...OH BOY...
